as Leroy been on the Crack Pipe?
Ok its on Claret & Hugh so a sack of salt is needed before reading it but assuming it is Leroy, he is very optimistic? Perhaps its just because I am by nature a negative, miserable old git when it comes to West Ham, that I find this to be written through bottle top C & B specs?

Here is the article alledgedly written by Leroy:

West Ham are about to have their current and future situations defined in the games against Arsenal and Chelsea.

And I believe they will emerge from the Christmas games with English football being forced to accept that they are now a genuine top four club.

I bumped into Sam Allardyce over the weekend at the Premier League where I work as a pundit and this is a man who is extraordinarily confident at the moment – there’s a spring in his step and quite rightly too.

Sam has always been a manager who has planned how to defend against or exploit the weaknesses of the opposition.

I really don’t think that’s the case anymore. He knows – and so do I – that the Irons are a team for others to worry about. They are genuinely top class and can stay in the top four from now until the end of the season.

There are very few teams who carry the pace, power and threat of West Ham United and I fully expect them to show how good they are by beating Leicester and Arsenal.

Chelsea may be a slightly different proposition but we are gonna give them one hell of a game. We may be beaten but don’t count on it and we will then go on to beat West Brom!

I watch an awful lot of football over the course of a season and to date i haven’t seen a team in action of which the Hammers need to be afraid – the opposite is true.

For us to be coming from behind to gain points on a regular basis tells us all we need to know about this team – we a re top four and I think Champions league football is a very real possibility at the Boleyn next season.

The rest of English football will soon have to wake up to the fact hat we are a top top side!

With the African Cup coming up, we will be without key players. It will only take a couple of losses and we will be in a relegation fight. Sam will revert to form and we will go down

Fans have to get the balance right.

Don't expect to beat anyone, that would be arrogantly deluded.

Have confidience and hope that we can beat anyone, which we can, now more than ever, and carry that to the ground.

Don't be afraid to dream, we are West Ham, and we have mastered that over the years. Don't be afraid of disappointment, just grab this season with both hands and enjoy the ride.

Leroy as in Rosenior?

Always liked Leroy and I won't start dreaming and getting excited until we're still in or around this position come March/April.

3 points against either Arsenal or Chelsea over xmas though, really would show how far we've come in a short space of time.

One thing he is correct about though, is that for the first time in as long as I can remember, teams are worried about us and that's class.

Scored in every away game - unheard of for us!

Re: as Leroy been on the Crack Pipe?
It's all about the remaining games this month and January with potentially 3 of our best players missing
If were in the mix still then who knows
Beating arsenal at home would be a very good step in the right direction

There is being optimistic, then there is being realistic.

Confidence = Success = Confidence

We are where we are as some other teams normally at the top have been poor. Its a long way to go, FFS, lets not get carried away and see where we are at the end of Jan....
